The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star - The Best Christmas Movies on Netflix Right Now

If you know anything, The Princess Switch on Netflix is now a holiday classic. Netflix gave us yet another holiday gift with a third installment of the series that features Vanessa Hudgens. This movie features the no-good cousin and involves a heist, because who doesn’t love a good Christmas heist. This movie is great to watch but if you also like looking at your phone, you won’t miss too much, we promise.

A Boy Called Christmas

A Boy Called Christmas

This magical fairy tale offers adventure, wonder, and whimsy. It features a traditional story line of an unwanted babysitter and older relatives telling stories to younger children but there are some darker moments that will remind you of the good old Dickensian stories. The film does deal with a death of a mother, so if you want to avoid that then this movie might not be for you.

Nina Dobrev and Jimmy O. Yang star in this rom com that is modern age and centers around the disaster of dating online. Dobrev’s character believes she has found mister right and after coming to his house, finds out that she has been catfished. This movie has all the goofy rom-com tropes but will bring the laughs and feel-good moments that everyone craves during the holidays.

The Claus Family

The Claus Family

This family film involves fairy tales and a little drama that circles around a boy who hates Christmas since the death of his father. He soon discovers that his grandfather is Santa and needs his help to turn Christmas around. The story focuses on the funny parts of Christmas but also how the main character deals with grief. Be warned that this movie is also in Dutch, so subtitled might be needed when watching it since Netflix hasn’t finished dubbing it in all languages yet.

Last year’s Netflix rom com featured Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey as lonely singles that decided to be each-other plus ones to holiday events for a year. They agree to keep it a simple, platonic relationship, but guess what, that doesn’t happen. Now the pair must navigate the messy relationship they got themselves into right before Christmas hits.

The Christmas Chronicles

The Christmas Chronicles

The Christmas Chronicles is hands down a great movie to watch during the holidays on Netflix. It features Kurt Russell as Santa who helps a pair of siblings rediscover the magic on Christmas. The movie has all the classic Christmas cheer you want and there is even a sequel.

A Christmas Prince

A Christmas Prince

We promise this is the last rom com for the list. A Christmas Prince is your classic Hallmark movie, only on Netflix. The movie follows an American journalist who travels to Aldovia and catches the attention of Prince Richard. The movie did so well when it was released in 2017, Netflix made two more to go with it that did equally as well.

Netflix is filled with classic and fun Christmas movies that you can sit down and enjoy alone or with that special someone. We promise that there is a little bit of something for everyone on their Christmas selection and for all you know, you could be binging all three of The Prince Switch movies before you know it.
