A group of scientists go to South America to help find the creature, killing others in the wilderness. The terrain is dangerous, but nothing will prepare them for the beast from the Black Lagoon.
A Quiet Place (2018)

This thriller has so many twists and turns you won’t know where to look. The film is set in the distant future in rural America, where a family is trying to piece together a series of unfortunate events. The family learns they must stay quiet to survive the monster terrorizing their town, and although they’re used to sign language, it proves to be a lot harder than they thought.

A monster film with music immediately makes this a terrific movie. Viewers follow Seymour Krelborn, who owns a Venus flytrap that must drink human blood to survive. The show can be funny, and Steve Martin brings many laughs playing Seymour as he navigates his Little Shop of Horrors. It’s a great monster movie for anyone who wants something a little lighter.
Pacific Rim (2013)

Director Guillermo del Toro wanted to pay homage to Kaiju films with Pacific Rim and did just that. When Kaiju monsters rose from the sea, they brought the war with them, and now everyone must try to figure out how to stop the Kaiju. Humanity is on the edge of defeat in Pacific Rim, and hope lies in only an ex-pilot and his trainee. If you’re looking for all the action with a monster movie, this is it.
King Kong (2005)

There are a plethora of King Kong movies you can pick from, but we are focusing on the 2005 version. Jackson chose to remake the 1933 classic where director Carl Denham and his crew go to Skull Island to film a new movie. While there, his team is whisked away by the ape, and the crew must figure out how to get them back while fighting dinosaurs and other creatures.

A group of American researchers in Antarctica rescue a dog that is being attacked by a helicopter. When they get it to camp, the dog attacks everyone in sight, and you learn it can transform into its victims. Everyone knows at least one thing about Alien, and that is why it made this list. The movie is set in deep space where the ship Nostromo is awakened from their cryo-sleep halfway through their journey to investigate a distress call from an alien ship. The crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the ship, and from there, chaos breaks out. The crew must battle the Aliens before they get attacked from inside the ship.

The police chief wants to close the beaches, but the mayor refuses and instead forms a team to capture the shark. Little do they know that this isn’t an ordinary shark.

Shin Godzilla (2016)

You can choose which Godzilla movie is the best since there is a lot, but Shin Godzilla is a good choice. The film is set in Japan, where chaos erupts when Godzilla, a lizard monster, rises from Tokyo Bay and wrecks Tokyo with every step.
